Location of start

The event start is located in Ibetts Piece. This field is roughly equidistant from the entrances to the Downs from Honister Heights and Tithe Pit Shaw Lane. Walking from the Tithe Pit Shaw Lane entrance, Ibetts Piece is about 400 metres along the main path and to the right. The start will be clearly signposted from the Bridle Path, and as it is about a 10 minute walk from the carpark, arriving with time to spare is advised

Getting there by public transport

By Train: The nearest stations are Whyteleafe and Upper Warlingham.

By Bus: The 407 runs from Sutton, Purley and Caterham to Whyteleafe. The 403 runs from Croydon and Sanderstand to Hamsey Green.

Getting there on foot

From Whyteleafe Roundabout: Under the railway bridge, along Hillbury Road, turn left onto Tithe Pit Shaw Lane, up the hill, past Warlingham School on the right to the sharp corner at the top. The entrance to the Downs is on the left. (20 minute brisk walk)

From Hamsey Green: 5 minute walk along Tithe Pit Shaw Lane, the entrance to the Downs is straight ahead, at the point of the sharp bend.

Getting there by road

Car parking for the event is the front car park at Warlingham School, in Tithe Pit Shaw Lane.
The postcode for the school is CR6 9YB, which will allow visitors to find the school via satnav of google maps.
Participants are requested to park only in the front carparks, opposite the school fields and the Astroturf.
