19th Purley (Riddlesdown) Scout Group

“Great Croydon Clean up”

By Elaine Cauthery

The 19th Purley Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who kindly sacrificed their Sunday, 12th May 2013, to donate their time picking litter for the 'Great Croydon Clean Up' campaign, from Dunmail Drive into Mitchley Hill, Rectory Park and Mitchley Avenue, did a tremendous job and were a credit to the 19th Purley, the Scout Association and particularly to the local community for collecting bag upon bag of rubbish. Two members of Riddlesdown Association also joined in the campaign and the group received praise and gratitude from many passers by.

Footnote - The RRA would like to congratulate and thank the 19th Purley Scout Group for their willingness and endeavour to keep this woodland tidy.
